Friday nights in May, June, and July citizens and visitors head downtown to the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce's newest event, Rock Around the Block. Rock Around the Block offers outstanding music from regional bands, food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and children's activities in our beautiful Central Park. Food and beverage sales begin at 5:30 pm and the band plays from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Event goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to the event.

Interested in sponsoring Rock Around the Block events for 2011?  Contact Krista at the Chamber of Commerce office at 319-385-3101 or fill out the form online.  This is an exclusive sponsorship open to Chamber Members only.  With the sponsorship, members receive signage on all materials promoting the event several weeks prior to the event date, signage on the entertainment stage and on a sign located at the busy corner of Washington Street and Grand Avenue, opportunity to have a booth or tent at the event and distribute promotional products, materials, etc. to event attendees, opportunity to announce from the stage during band breaks, recognition in Chamber Newsline, the What's Up Weekly e-newsletter, the Chamber Alliance website, and recognition in all press releases.
