From festivals to shopping,
Mount Pleasant has a wide variety of activities that draw visitors year round! Our largest event is the annual Midwest Old Threshers Reunion that celebrates midwestern rural heritage and draws guests from across the country over the Labor Day Weekend each year. During the show, the MPACC hosts our annual Craft Show, featuring over 120 crafters in our downtown. Midwest Central Railroad also draws large crowds with “Ghost Train” in October and “North Pole Express” in December. During the summer, you won’t want to miss “The Great Gobble,” our June festival celebrating turkey and “Rock Around the Block” a music series held on Friday evenings in June and July. For visitors that enjoy staying fit, Mount Pleasant offers over 10 miles of paved recreation trails, a golf course, and REC Center. If you have little ones in tow, you won’t want to miss our fantastic aquatic center and United Thru Play, a giant playground featuring a pirate ship, castle, space ship, and farm.
